“Work is rest all day in Borosana shoes.”

Borosana has been on the market since 1968. It was developed over the course of a year by a team of experts led by Dr. Branko Strinović, an orthopedic specialist from Zagreb. Borosana was designed according to the anatomical features of the female foot, achieving successful support for all its key parts. It was created specifically as footwear for women who stand or walk for long periods. Waitresses, cleaners, shop attendants, and nurses all wore them.

In the early years of production, 1,600 pairs of Borosana shoes were made daily, amounting to over 200,000 pairs in the first few years. Initially, they were produced only in white and blue, with black Borosana shoes appearing in the late 1980s. In the mid-1970s and early 1980s, production reached its peak, with around half a million pairs produced annually.

“If it’s not Borovo, it’s not Borosana.”
