Kolibri – The Most Famous Children’s Choir in Yugoslavia
The children’s choir Kolibri was founded at Radio-Television Belgrade in 1963. The founder and conductor was Milica Manojlović, who led the choir until her death on January 18, 2008. The popular “Kolibri” girls and boys were guided through hundreds of concerts, both in the country and around the world. During the 1970s, they were considered one of the most original musical phenomena in this region and beyond.

The choir performed both children’s songs and patriotic songs, with most of the songs being written specifically for them. From the mid-1970s, the song “Najlepša je zemlja moja” (My Country is the Most Beautiful) became part of their standard repertoire.

The choir held over a hundred concerts in the country and abroad, participated in audio dramas, television shows and series, as well as in movies. They sang with Vlastimir Đuza Stojiljković, Ljubiša Bačić, Sedmoricom Mladih, Dragan Laković, Oliver Dragojević, Bajaga, Minja Subota, Tanja Bošković, Riblja Čorba, Ljubiša Simić, Kemal Monteno, Bora Dugić, and many others.
