The concert of the world famous band “Queen” took place on February 6, 1979, in Zagreb, and the following day in Ljubljana. Those two concerts are considered the two greatest concerts of that decade in Yugoslavia.
The band’s guitarist, Brian May, was thrilled with Zagreb. In his memoirs, he noted that he felt unusual at the time and that the city was very different from other European cities – as if he had returned to the golden age of old London that he remembered from his childhood.
