A former Yugoslavian handball player, she was born on June 7, 1960, in Tuzla. She played for Jedinstvo Tuzla and Radnički Belgrade. With Radnički, she won the European Champions Cup in 1980 and 1984, as well as the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1986.
She also represented the Yugoslavian national team, participating in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow where they won a silver medal and the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles where they secured a gold medal.
In 1977, she was named the world’s best young player, and in 1988, she was chosen as the best female handball player in the world by the International Handball Federation.
